The Writing Garden
A place where ideas are listened to before they become writing.
Sometimes a thought stays with us for years.
Sometimes a memory returns quietly.
Sometimes an idea simply waits for the right moment to be explored.
Often these things have been quietly living in your heart.
In the Writing Garden we call these seeds.
Seeds do not need to be forced.
They simply need a little attention.
What the Garden Is
Most writing begins with an attempt to produce words.
The Writing Garden begins earlier than that.
It begins with listening.
Every writer already carries ideas within them.
Often these ideas remain quiet because they have never been given space to grow.
The garden exists to provide that space.
When an idea becomes clear, the writing naturally follows.

Experience It First
Before planting anything, we invite you to simply experience the garden.
Spend a few minutes exploring an idea with a Listening Partner.
There is no pressure to write anything.
Just begin with whatever thought, memory, or question has been on your mind.
Sometimes a seed reveals itself in unexpected ways.
Seeds (7 Week Exploration)
For those who discover or already have an idea they would like to explore more deeply, the garden offers Seeds.
Seeds is a 7-week experience where writers choose one idea and develop it together a Listening Partner into a finished piece of writing.
Each week gently explores a different aspect of the seed:
Noticing
Context
Meaning
Shaping
Writing
Refinement
Bloom
The garden simply provides the conditions.
The writing grows from the seed itself.
Foundation
Some seeds appear quickly.
Some take time.
The Writing Garden is simply a place where ideas can be noticed and explored.
You are welcome to return whenever a seed appears.
